Alison Green Doran has built a exceptional career in the wine industry that spans over 30 years. A position at Simi Winery in Healdsburg, CA as a lab technician first gave Alison the wine bug and the rest was history. From Simi, Alison spent a year in France followed by positions in Paso Robles and Los Olivos. Learning many different areas of the business, she rounded out her formal training at the world renowned University of California at Davis with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Fermentation Science in 1977.
For almost 20 years, Alison served as winemaker for Firestone Vineyard and currently winemaker for Nelson Estate in addition to consultant to Lewis Cellars.
